CoSCo (Cognitive Science and Communication) is an interdisciplinary research group based at Northumbria University, Newcastle-upon-Tyne, in the United Kingdom. We are predominately a collective of postgraduates with an insatiable curiosity toward understanding the many intricacies of the brain. Among our ranks we count lecturers, PhD researchers, Master’s and Undergraduate students.

The main focus of our efforts is toward researching the nature of mental representation. We achieve this through studying the domains of language, body and a mind that is situated within an environment that contributes to cognition. This culminates in an interplay between conceptual, environmental and linguistic features, something which you can read more about in our research.

We regularly host events, so if you ever happen to find yourself in the area please feel free to RSVP and attend.
